Sunday sketches (with a nice view)


Am out the whole day so I did some sketches on a resource chart for the ice biome! I always have my notebook with me which is ready to accept the ideas brewing in my head.

I plan to add a 'temperature' mechanic. In the ice map, you no longer need to manage happiness, but instead have to manage your settlers "cold resistance" or "cold protection". This is also marked by a percentage based on how much clothing you give settlers, as well as quality or level of the clothing.

The more and higher quality clothing, the better cold protection of those settlers with clothes, and the less likely they will fall ill. At 100%, it might be possible to reach 0% illness rate.

New buildings will be introduced such as the clothes weaver, alpaca homesteads, grass farms, and various igloos for penguins and polar bears that you have to ranch on islands.

You'll need penguins to bring you fish as your fishing huts can't pierce the ice. And polar bears will leave behind fur that can be used for highest tier clothing.

It's pretty ambitious so I  am curious to see how it goes.

On another note, captured this nice view from a hotel room I stayed in. It has a patio and is very cozy. I sat on it while thinking of the game for quite a long time. It was at night and 3.30am. I was deep in thought.
