v0.9 - Level 2 electric buildings


v0.9 is released!

I'll be posting daily updates for as long as I can! In the latest version, a give up button was added. This lets you claim rewards if you want to instantly end the run at any time after you've survived a storm. Currently, this guarantees you at least one Amulet and one Eye of the Storm. I'm not sure if this is exploitable as the game gives you at least 1 amulet even for losing and doing nothing. But if somebody wants to play the game this way, I wonder if the game should allow them?

  • - 'Exit to Menu' should now save your game
  • - Add 'Give Up' button after first storm to instantly end the current run for rewards at any time
  • Export/Import save feature (experimental). The imported savefile will override the current savefile's permanent upgrades and items even if it's lesser.

Fixes

  • - Fix bridge rubble appearing black
  • - Fix research complete sound playing twice

Experimental Content

I'm working hard on the Electricity System for the game. Here are some sneak peeks. 

The following are only unlocked when experimental version is toggled on from the menu.

  • - Add Charcoal Kiln Lv 2
  • - Add Battery Lv 2
  • - Add Coal Burner Lv 2
  • - Add Gas Burner Lv 2
  • - Gas Generators, Burners, Batteries unlocked for testing
  • - Gas Extractors 4x faster on land
  • - Low Power icons now only appear on electric buildings with low power

The next v0.10 update will add better onboarding. With many new buildings and electricity to be added soon, the game can be overwhelming at the start. Having so many tabs in the build menu below can confuse you. Therefore, you will collect certain items in the world to slowly unlock the tabs, gradually seeing the new buildings over time:
