v0.5 - Journal, Collectibles, Penguins!

1. Penguins!

So I am pretty much done with the game now, and on the last day I only wanted to work on just minor polish that doesn't have a big chance break the game. I wanted to be careful to not put out an update that causes major issues, so I did more visual and lore stuff.

I also wanted to add that I did not create the animals or penguin assets, but I felt the game would be much more lively with animals and I love birds - you will see there are some birds added to the game due to my fondness of them.

2. Collectibles

I added a collectible every 20 meters in the game. I hope this incentives people to push further and build their bridge out! Thankfully, this was much easier to code than I thought. This took a few minutes.

3. Journal

I really love writing stories so I added a Journal. The journal took longer surprisingly. I don't like spending time on UI but this was a necessary evil.

As you progress, you unlock bits of lore about the backstory of the game. I am a storyteller and love telling stories. I didn't think there'd be one in this game but I guess there is one now!

The lore revolves around a scientist called Faraday, whose interest in metallic nanoparticles leads him down a rabbit hole. His ambition to stop all lightning storms around the world drives his work. One day, he mysteriously vanishes and on the very same day, the superstorm appears.

Also added a reset research button. Had to do a bit of math to make sure it refunded all materials correctly. I wanted the flexibility to reassign my upgrades so I think this could come in handy for other people too.

I also did minor balancing.

Chaos mode difficulty has been tweaked:

- Storm intensity: 4x -> 2x

- Storm approach speed in peaceful: 2x -> 3x (this allows pros to farm materials faster if they can beat the timer)

Bug fix:

- Exiting to menu without surviving a storm gives you free EXP and items unintentionally
