v0.27 - Life and Mana leech!
v0.27 is released!
New Skills!
It adds two new abilities: Life Leech & Mana Leech
They add a % chance to drain HP or MP with each attack.
Mana is a bit difficult to get early game as INT is rare and expensive, so I added a new skill that lets you leech mana at a chance. This skill can also scale off your max MP, so it remains viable late game.
The same has been done for health, as the only other skill that boosts health regeneration is Dolphin Blessing, and it is locked behind companions. Both skills unlock at 80m, which is early game enough!
Early Game Improvements
@Ronni had came over to Discord to tell me that Idle Cub had made a playthrough of my game, and I had the privilege to watch it.
I always enjoy watching other people play my game as I get to learn a lot from them. It also helps that Idle Cub talks about his thought process and decisions behind picking his upgrades, which is enlightening!
I have since implemented a lot of feedback after watching his playthrough, to improve the early game and onboarding process especially to address confusion, smoothening the tutorial process.
Full changelog:
- Add new passive skill: Life Leech
- Add new passive skill: Mana Leech
- Dashing now gives Darkness
- Add new 'Defeat 2 world sentinels' objective before asking to 'Gain Darkness'
- Add [???] menu button to foreshadow future systems
- Add sound effect when looting coin and items
- Save when quitting or alt-tabbed on desktop versions
- Essence skill "max summons" renamed to "max sentinel summons"
- Collect essence skill now counts lifetime gained essence instead of current essence
- Replace duplicate objective 'Summon 3 sentinels'
- Fix world sentinel kills objective resetting to 0/1 after reviving
- Fix death objective resetting to 0/1 after reviving
