I feel like bonuses from equipment fall off pretty quick since they same share multiplier as passives for SP or active buffs. I have 37.6% dmg bonus on t3 legendary gloves for example and that means nothing if my total dmg bonus is few thousand already. Maybe it would be worth to consider making bonuses from equipment count as separate multiplier?

Hey there! Thanks for pointing this out, you are absolutely right - I've checked and equipment do start to fall off.

I am considering making equipment a separate multiplier, but for now in the next v0.30 update that will release later today, I have made a quick adjustment as a start - for Regen stats, I have buffed equipment bonuses by 10x, and I will progressively make further changes to the equipment to make them worthwhile.

It appears like some damage instance is not criting, not sure if that is cannon or chance for 2nd attack, but despite of having all crits 100% I can see some white numbers.
Also it appears like blinding fury is not being autocast on normal monsters or monsters without defense like bosses I think?

Hi there!

The cannon does not have the ability to crit, but this is going to change in the next v0.30 update tomorrow! Cannon will be able to crit after this.

Blinding Fury doesn't cast on normal monsters indeed, only on bosses, sentinels and dungeon bosses! I will add a description to the skill effect to mention this in v0.30, sorry for the confusion!

Would be nice to have another way to lower enemy defense, maybe a passive where auto attacks lower it by X amount or something? Loving the game! Up to 1400km so far!

Will add a new stat "ignore enemy defense" that will appea on a new equipment type or from other sources!

Not that I am complaining but I think the skill "Dolphin Blessing" might be a bit OP.  If keep it ranked up in comparison to your other skills, I basically never run out of MP even with all my active skills on Auto-cast.

Pair Dolphin Blessing with Tough Skin and Unicorn Power and you basically just become a tank with a big gun that never runs out of MP.

There may need to be some tweaking there.

Suggestion, it would be nice if when you hover over the each stats in the menu on the left, it gave you a breakdown of what makes up that total, similar to how the 6 main stats in the bottom right do it. 

For example, when I hover over "Item Drop Rate" in the left hand stats window, it told me which skills, passives, rank ups, etc.  were contributing to the total percentage there.

I think the Passive Skill "Critical Overflow" could use a better description.  What is considered "Excess Crit Rate"?  Is that anything over  Crit Rate of 100%? It is just not too clear. How is this skill triggered and when?

There's a several gold bug in linux version. Sometimes earned gold not counting in total gold. Please fix it.

Hi there! Can you share more about the issue? Is this referring to gold from offline progress or monster coin drops? Additionally does it occur with specific monsters or from specific sources? Are there any errors that appear on screen when loading the game on Linux?

Unfortunately, I don't have a Linux to test this specifically, but if I can get more details to reproduce the issue, it can greatly help me look into it to work on a fix!

Regardless, I am updating the game to v0.29 in a few hours later today, perhaps you can try updating to the latest version to see if by any chance it fixes it.

Will our gamesaves on this version be transferable to the Steam version so we can pick up our progress and Ascend? (Running on the PC version).

Hi there! Yes, the savefiles will carry over! When the full version releases on Steam, your progress here will continue there! :)

Is ascension not possible in this release?
When I reached and killed boss of 500m it says that ascension is available in paid version which I guess is gonna be future steam release?
After I clicked ascend it would give pop up which would state that ascending would give me 0 coral. I chose to continue game and now option to ascend can't be found.

Hi! You are correct - ascension is only available in the full version -  coral is currently not obtainable and is tied to ascension in the future Steam version!

what does the gold per meter upgrade do?

Hi! So every 1m you travel, you will get 3 gold.

So for example, if your turtle moves 10m, you get 30 gold total. It increases for every 1 meter travelled

What should I want do if I move my Google save to my desktop version

Hi there! Currently savefiles are not transferrable from web to desktop as web saves it as cookies rather than a normal file, whereas the desktop version saves as normal files that you can backup.

I will try to see if it's possible to make my own exporter but since I have to do it manually, it might take awhile for such a feature to be ready!

Good news! I have been working on the web export feature and I will be able release it to try in the next update, v0.28, which should be able to go live sometime tomorrow!

It will need further testing to confirm that it works, but on my end, I was able to export my web savefile onto desktop. It is a one-way conversion, so it cannot go from desktop to web, but web to desktop seems to work!

Also I'm glad the Chinese translations help! If you have any questions feel free to ask and I will do my best to try to answer. And if you have any further requests, feel free to share them and I will also do my best to see if I can implement them into the game :)

I had the same issue with dreamstone and SP gift that Boneyard96 had. I decided to restart the game entirely though. 

Let me start by saying, this game is very fun and very fleshed out. Balance seems mostly fine (biggest issue people have with idleish games). 

Bugs I've encountered so far

1: Dreamstone bug bricks your entire game. You can't spent SP on skills or abilities anymore. But you're aware of it already. 

2: Belt slot item doesn't actually give crit. Or at least its not updating it on your lil turtle stat sheet. Not sure which, but going from a pure luck belt, to a better belt that has 2% crit seemingly does nothing.

3: The Dolphin Blessing skill only gives 10% bonus even if you have more points in it. I tried buffing it to like level 20, and still nothing. Not on the character sheet, or the actual real time HP/MP regen effect. 

I got to 490 before I bricked my save with the Dreamstone bug. But these are the bugs I've come across so far. 

Great game! Keep it up. And please let us copy saves and swap them into new versions as they come out :)

Oh btw this is on the 0.24.0 Windows version, not the browser.

Hey there, sorry about this - Dreamstone was actually not a feature meant to be released yet but I think it was accidentally leaked in v0.24 - can you send your savefile to havendockyyz@gmail.com? I will fix it for you as I did with boneyard96 via email and also refilled his Skill Points.

Enter this into file explorer to view savefiles: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\YYZStudio\Siegeturtle\

File0.st is your latest manual save - whereas the autosaves (you can check the date modified) are the game's most recent auto saves.

For belts, LUK adds crit damage, whereas some belts have an additional line that adds crit rate - they're both different things - by right crit rate is a little more rare to obtain, so it is a tradeoff if wearing a belt that adds more crit rate than cri damage (usually better).

For dolphin blessing - are you sure that the buff has been activated on your character? It should appear as an icon with a duration going down below the character's HP and MP bar. Still, I will check this out to confirm that it is adding correctly.

Progress automatically continues when you update the game to future versions - and even from the demo into the full version when it comes out later.

Regarding the belts, I'm aware LUK doesn't give crit chance. I was on level 490 when my skills got locked out, but at that point I was in full epic gear. Belt had Luck, Crit Chance, and believe extra crit damage, or something like that. However, the crit chance on the epic belt did not update on my stat sheet. Its either not giving the flat crit chance that it says it should, or its simply a tooltip error on the stat sheet. I have no clue, its just not updating, thats all. 

Regarding Dolphin Blessing. Yes, it was active. I ran it with 10 points initially. I'd hover over the tooltip, it said level 1. I tried putting more points, waited for the old buff to time out, and once it refreshed my mp/hp regen were the exact same, and still said level 1. It simply isn't doing anything past level 1 atm, and I tested this a few times to make sure it wasn't just a tooltip/stat sheet error. It had no visible impact on my actual characters in-game hp/mp regen. I watched for quite awhile, going from level 1 to level 20 should see a massive spike in regen (10% -> 200%) but there was 0 change.

Heya, I have just uploaded a pre-early version of v0.26 for Windows which might fix the buff issue!

Buffs previously did not update to account for changes when they are leveled up and recast by auto buff. For now, pressing [ESC] then [Quicksave] and then exiting to menu and continuing should fix this on v0.25.

I will check out the belt stats on my side!

Edit: FOUND the issue! Belts will properly apply in v0.26 , re-uploading v0.26 with the fix for belts now! I am so grateful for the details!

Honestly, I'm stoked about this game, and the way you react to info/bugs. You're actively fixing things, not sitting around for weeks on end like a lot of devs do.

Guys, why is the offline time thing bugged on browser? Sometimes its less then the time I'm offline, sometimes its more?

Hi there, the game should autosave your progress and time correctly every 60 seconds, but it might help to do a manual save before closing the game by pressing ESC -> Quick save. Perhaps this might help!

I used dreamstone and bought the SP gift, now I can't spend any SP, where did it go? I bought it because I was curious on what it did.

Hi, can you explain a bit more on what you mean by you can't spend SP? Are you playing on v0.25, and on browser or desktop?

You should be able to return back to the normal game and spend it. If you're facing further issues, can you send your savefile to me? (For example if somehow the savefile got corrupted ,  I can fix it for you)

To further elaborate, Dreamsand wasn't meant to be released yet - it was I think accidentally leaked in v0.23 and I had to quickly put out an update to temporarily disable it to prevent issues. Sorry for the trouble~

I am on v0.24 and on desktop, and what I mean is, both the active skills and passive skills buttons are now gone.

Where are the save files located

On windows it should be somewhere here: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\YYZStudio\Siegeturtle\File0.st

You can send it to me at havendockyyz@gmail.com, and I can take a look at what's wrong and if possible I will push out a fix on the game side, but if that is not possible, I will send you the savefile back and also refund you some extra skill points for lost time.

For a future improvement I will add more autosaves (e.g. 1 hour interval) so there is a further fallback in case of mishaps, as I imagine your autosaves only go back a few minutes.

Also it's pretty late for me now so I have to head to bed, but I will take a look at the savefiles first thing I awake!

Game asked me to die. Made a already boring game TOO boring. I have 200 hp its gonna take ages for me to die I got better things to do.

Ah oh no, it seems you upgraded your health quite a bit. I'll consider making the first boss a little bit tougher so that it will actually kill you and make it faster to start dying and thus gaining skill points!

For now, I think you can leave the game running a bit more and hopefully you'll get past that initial hurdle as I think it gets really cool when you start to unlock more skills and companions down the line! :)

I didn't know aswell lol by the time it told me to die I had 4 hp Regen and couldn't die lol so I just restarted

i made it level 5o1 , and thought like most games if i continue i will get more coral , but now i cant ascend ...   or is there a button im not seeing?   btw love the game

Hello! Ascension is limited to the full version of the game only, sorry about the confusion, I will add a feature list to clarify all the full version features in a subsequent update.

Macos doesn let me open the game until I give it executable status using the terminal:

chmod +x Siegeturtle.app/Contents/MacOS/Siegeturtle

Then as usual on macos we can do the standard "Open anyway"

This game is quite fun so far, but I think I've found a couple of frustrating bugs.

First, I can't level Luk past its base of zero. It has a listed price, but clicking the button does nothing. The only increases are coming from Jack of All Trades and my equipped belt.

Second, the Dolphin Blessing skill has no cooldown listed in its description in the Skills menu and has no display in the bottom-right skills panel. It also overwrites itself before the duration elapses at ranks 5 and up, which might not be a bug but does make it consume MP prohibitively quickly at high ranks.

Hi there! Thanks for letting me know about LUK - it's restricted to only the desktop or full version and I forgot to signify that on web. Sorry about that.

Buffs should only refresh themselves when their durations are less than about 5 seconds, is the MP actually being used to cast this skill, or something else? (It can be seen if the buff duration goes up)

Only skills with cooldown appear on the bottom right panel, so it is intended that Dolphin Blessing will not appear there. I have added a new text in v0.25 to signify this!

Hi there, did you play on the desktop or web version? I strongly recommend playing the desktop version as it autosaves regularly and backs up the existing save to multiple slots - memory is limited on web and so the autosave is not as robust.

I've updated the game to v0.25 - it comes with a more robust auto saving feature that autosaves every 60 seconds. However on web this is still limited to saving progress via cookies, and there is a limited amount of file size the game can store at once.

Additionally, if browser cookies or temporary files get deleted, progress will still be lost, in which case I recommend trying out the desktop version as it comes with multiple autosave slots that will prevent complete wipeouts!

Hi there! On desktop you can press ESC, and click the folder icon - you will be able to view and transfer your savefiles directly! However this feature isn't in the web version at the moment.

Are you on the web or desktop version?

Firefox browser. I have things set to remove data after restarting my PC to reduce the likelihood of tracking and spyware (Not perfect but who is?). And that ends up removing the save file too.

One option you can try is to test if pressing the manual 'quicksave' button in-game will have the savefile persist between sessions - on web the game uses cookies and something called indexedDB to store progress. If cookies or indexedDB are deleted, then there is no way to get the progress back. In that case, I can perhaps only recommend playing the desktop versions moving forward! But perhaps the above is worth a try!
