v0.20 - Biolabs, Fishing Huts, Farms!


v0.20 is released!

New Food Buildings

Your citizens now need food. The biolab has been added. Aliens now drop alien meat and can be cooked in Biolabs.


Farms have been added - they produce your most basic food.


Fishing Huts are a new secondary food source when you venture underwater.


What does food do?

It refills your citizens' hunger. But getting more food variety will provide productivity bonuses.

Future content

For the food system specifically, I was thinking of adding a final food type 'Teriyaki', that requires all previous foods to be cooked in a Cookhouse.

These can be fed or used to build nurseries, which give you population growth, without needing to build more houses late-game.

Ending changes

This updates adds significant changes to the game after the first bomb launch. When the game was released, it ends after the first bomb launch. Then endless mode came and as post-endgame content constantly got added, the game now ends much later. Therefore 'endless mode' is now the default, and the game endings have been moved back to the destruction of the mothership.
